Platform Changes at Prop Firms: An Operational Continuity Checklist

Identify dependencies that affect your trading

Record the platform, data provider, instruments and account credentials used by the chosen program. Determine where orders can be cancelled or positions managed if the primary interface is unavailable. Do not infer continuity simply because the firm advertises several platform names.

Ask what a migration changes

A software move can change symbols, order controls, historical data and account access. Ask which accounts are affected, the effective time, how open orders are handled and whether any fee or rule changes at the same time. This article does not assert that a particular platform vendor restriction or industry-wide event happened in 2025.

Keep records outside one interface

Preserve permitted copies of agreements, notices, trades and payment receipts. Test the supported recovery route in a demonstration environment when available. Assess the actual provider notice rather than treating brand recognition, an app screenshot or a social announcement as proof that an interruption will be handled successfully.
